Otis started its business in UAE in 1975 and through United Development Company, a subsidiary of Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda Group. It was the sole agent in the country for all Otis products. From 2002, Otis Elevator Company took over the operations and responsibility for the sales, installations and maintenance of Otis products in partnership with Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda group; forming Otis LLC

Otis LLC in the UAE also installed escalators and moving walks at ports, malls and community services.
